Behind the Sound: While
the Musical Heritage Organization
works tirelessly washing, digitizing, and enriching historical
recordings with metadata, swissservers.com
provides the technical backbone. We manage the vital interface
between the physical file servers located at the Zurich University
of the Arts (ZHdK) and global public access via MediaWiki.
Operated as a dedicated one-man IT infrastructure unit, our mission
is to ensure that invaluable cultural data is not just archived,
but remains performant, resilient, and streamable worldwide. swissservers.com
serves as a high-speed frontend designed to offload heavy traffic
from our core semantic databases and make the world’s music heritage
instantly audible. |
